Ben Dru Shell
Software developer, computer scientist, inventor, and maker of many things

My background: Engineering, making things, and having an adventurous spirit runs in my family. My ancestors were involved in ship building, writing math books in the 1800's, mining, Ford Model-T engine repairs at age 10 to go joyriding, airplane repair for the US Airforce during WWII, building NACA&NASA rockets for early manned flights to earth orbit and the moon, early computer science programming in Assembly, and early software development of airline ticketing and cargo systems for Eastern and TWA. Having both a grandfather and uncle that were with NASA and many other family involved in software development industry, my attention became focussed on space and computers.

My youth: I always had a fascination with how things worked at a very young age. My parents would find that I kept taking clocks and other devices apart to figure how they worked. Within a short time, I also learned how to put the devices back together too in working condition with totally useless parts left over... By age 6, I figured out how to code simple programs on the family computer and was good at playing foosball. During school years, I would skip outdoor recess to be in the computer room or library.

My career: During a mid-college break, I decided to specialize in software development by inventing the word "technobreeze" and creating the website for my many softwares "TechnoBreeze®". I pioneered double verified opt-in systems as open-source software, which the concepts are still widely used in modern softwares and online services. Then I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) degree. Today, I am still creating software plus making many other things. I currently specialize in TypeScript Full Stack & Native, Functional programming, Microservices, SQL, High assurance programming, ISO 26262 / EN 50128 / MISRA guidelines, Bare metal programming.
